All EEG data were recorded using standard clinical EEG systems at Neurology Clinic.\r\nDataset Purpose:\r\nThis dataset was originally used to evaluate whether resting-state EEG can help distinguish subjects who were later deceased from those who remained living (mortality classification). Only de-identified EEG data and mortality labels are included.\r\n\r\nParticipant Information:\r\n- Participants are labeled as either \"living\" or \"deceased\" in participants.tsv\r\n- No other demographic or clinical information (age, cognition, UPDRS, disease duration, etc.) is included per data-sharing guidelines.\r\n- All participant IDs are anonymized following BIDS convention (e.g., sub-PD1301).\r\n\r\nEEG Acquisition Details:\r\n- Recording type: Resting-state EEG (eyes open)\r\n- Device: Clinical BrainVision EEG system\r\n- File formats: .vhdr, .eeg, .vmrk\r\n- Sampling rate: 500 Hz\r\n- Montage: Standard 10–20 international system\r\n- Recording condition: “task-rest” (no task)\r\n\r\nData Organization:\r\nData are structured following the BIDS (Brain Imaging Data Structure) EEG standard:\r\n    sub-<ID>/\r\n        ses-01/\r\n            eeg/\r\n                sub-<ID>_ses-01_task-rest_eeg.vhdr\r\n                sub-<ID>_ses-01_task-rest_eeg.eeg\r\n                sub-<ID>_ses-01_task-rest_eeg.vmrk\r\n\r\nMortality Label Format:\r\n- Living subjects: survival_status = \"living\"\r\n- Deceased subjects: survival_status = \"deceased\"\r\n\r\nEthics & Privacy:\r\nAll subjects provided consent for EEG recording at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
