After mounting the EEG electrode cap, the study protocol started with 5 minutes of closed-eyes rest (Pre-hypnosis Baseline), followed by four experimental conditions (Experimental Blocks), and ended with another 5 minutes of closed-eyes rest (Post-hypnosis Baseline). Throughout the four Experimental Blocks, participants were exposed to either conventional or unconventional (placebo) hypnotic inductions described either as hypnosis or as simple relaxation technique in a 2 x 2 balanced placebo design. In other words, each participant underwent four trials, in which they were exposed to a conventional hypnosis induction presented as “hypnosis”; a conventional hypnosis induction presented as “control”; an unconventional hypnosis induction presented as “hypnosis”; and an unconventional hypnosis induction presented as “control” in a randomized order.\n\nFor detailed information on our data collection methods, refer to the public trial registry on the Open Science Framework: https://doi.org/10.17605/OSF.IO/WVHDA.\n\nPublications based on this dataset:\n- https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/psyp.70183\n\n- https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-024-56633-x","bids_version":"1.6.0","sessions_count":1,"publish_date":null,"embedding_dirty":0,"license_tier":"public","zarr_status":"ready","zarr_converted_at":"2026-08-06 02:15:42","zarr_store_count":516,"zarr_index_etag":"1287219c834b3819b43ef14fad14d765","zarr_source_commit":"368c1d23e36daf6d036a828bbc36f72bd040f000","archive_status":"ready","archive_size":23769070945,"archive_retry_count":0,"records_status":"ready","archive_skip_reason":null,"zarr_errors":0,"zarr_failure_count":0,"zarr_deterministic":0,"zarr_failed_at":null,"num_dataset_citations":2,"num_datapaper_citations":0,"n_channels":58,"electrode_system":"10-10","has_hed":0,"hed_version":null,"is_exemplar":0,"bytes_present":46774574574,"data_complete":1,"withdrawn_at":null,"withdrawn_reason":null,"archive_complete":null,"archive_absent_files":null,"archive_declared_files":null,"zarr_pool_breaks":null,"total_recording_duration":191689.9960000001,"recording_duration_min":300,"recording_duration_max":419.112,"recording_count":516,"recordings_unavailable":0,"recordings_measured":516,"channel_count_min":61,"channel_count_max":61,"sampling_frequency":1000,"power_line_frequency":50,"eeg_reference":null,"placement_scheme":"based on the extended 10/20 system","sweep_stamps":"{\"enrichment_updated_at\":\"2026-06-24 20:32:23\",\"metadata_updated_at\":\"2026-06-24 20:32:35\",\"archive_checked_at\":\"2026-06-24 20:52:28\",\"zarr_checked_at\":null,\"records_checked_at\":\"2026-06-24 20:33:24\",\"citations_updated_at\":\"2026-09-08 03:00:52\",\"channel_montage_checked_at\":\"2026-06-28 23:28:57\",\"hed_checked_at\":\"2026-06-30 05:02:10\",\"data_checked_at\":\"2026-08-12 03:00:33\",\"availability_report_at\":\"2026-07-23 01:19:43\",\"recording_stats_at\":\"2026-09-02 11:32:50\",\"signal_defaults_at\":\"2026-09-02 12:16:44\"}","participants":52,"num_citations":2,"latest_version":"v1.0.0","zarr_verify_status":null,"zarr_verified_at":null,"owner_username":"nemarAdmin","owner_github":"nemarAdmin","file_size_formatted":"43.56 GB","zarr_data_failures":null,"zarr_index_url":"https://zarr.nemar.org/on004572/zarr/index.json","attestation_deposit_type":null,"attestation_key_status":null,"attestation_deidentified":null,"attestation_no_duplicate":null,"attestation_upstream_source":null,"attestation_accepted_at":null}}
