The study investigates the neural correlates of illusory movement perception versus pure sensory stimulation by comparing two vibration conditions: one inducing elbow extension illusions (biceps at 90 Hz, triceps at 50 Hz) and a control condition producing only vibration sensation (both tendons at 70 Hz). EEG was recorded from 16 electrodes covering sensorimotor cortex during three blocks of randomized stimulation sequences. Tendon vibration was delivered via wireless electromechanical vibrators (Vibramoov) placed on distal biceps and triceps tendons of the left arm. Stimulation consisted of three-second sequences with 1-second linear ramps and 1-second stable frequency intervals.
